This week’s Soundbytes launched with the eagerly awaited release of Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 smash Rumours. A rapturous customer waiting list can now breathe a sigh of relief as this 2-disc powerhouse set (which is also available as an equally good 33 1/3 RPM, 180-Gram LP) began shipping. As of this writing we are stocked, but not for long – it’s a limited edition release after all!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Eric Clapton’s Unplugged returns to vinyl, this time as a 2-LP, 180-Gram edition. Like Rumours, this is prime listening, not just for the performances, but the liquid pressing. Quiet as hell, Unplugged presents EC in an organic, acoustic performance of his best hits.
